Mentalist just started on television last year and I love to write fanfiction on that show. This is the first of my stories and it will be ongoing. TheMentalist fanfiction title is Red John Watching. It is in analogy to The lump loves the worry inside the resident food.

Red John Watching

Topic:This is a chapter where some new characters have been added and Jane seems to feel he is very close to catching Red John.

Chapter One:

The CBI has been frequenting this restaurant, Taste of Aegean since it opened just this past Fall. It is owned and managed by three Greek brothers who are from the old country and it serves American Cuisine as well as Greek Cuisine. It is a family restaurant and they have a bar on the other side. The crew of CBI has been there for coffee or breakfast in the morning, they sometimes have lunch there and sometimes they make a dinner stop there. Sometimes they drink in the bar at night. It is located barely a block from the CBI office.

Today is Wednesday and Patrick Jane decides to have dinner there on his way home since it is no longer the same eating dinner at his empty house. The waitress, Brandi walks up to him smiling and asks him ‘How are you’, Jane replies with a smile and says that he is fine and that he just wants a BLT with fries and Sangria. Brandi asks ‘Do you want the wine now or when I bring your meal’? Jane thinks for a moment and tells her that she can bring a glass of wine now and he may order more later on. “Of course”, replies Brandi all upbeat. Jane is meantime smiling very sweetly during all this conversation. He has motive already which is the reason why he is at the ‘Aegean’ right now.

Jane has been watching Nick, one of the owners lately and is suspecting something is not right. Jane has noticed that Nick never looks at him but Jane has caught Nick starting at him sometimes and when he notices that, Nick immediately turns away. Jane also notices that Nick always avoids him. Whenever he goes to the cash register to pay the bill, Nick makes an excuse and always has one of the other brothers handle the cash register. What really peaked his interest is last week when Lisbon and Jane were there for lunch, Jane overheard a conversation from the next booth about Nick having a tattoo and that it was a smiley face. That is when Jane made note that Nick never wore short sleeves despite the high temperatures outside.

Jane also overheard from the conversation that Brandi is not only having an affair with Nick but that she is a kept woman. Then from thereon, Jane noticed that Brandi wears expensive jewelry. Her rings, earrings, and necklace are all real diamonds. He plans to find out more secrets tonight and from Brandi as well. That is when Jane decides to get to the bottom of this tonight through Brandi.

Once Jane finishes his meal and two glasses of Sangria and he took his time with his dinner since he was going to leave when Brandi did at 10:00 PM. Brandi came to Jane and asked him if there is anything else she can get him. Jane smiles his golden smile and says “No, but can I talk to you after work?” Brandi asks him what he wants to talk about. Jane says “It is a little personal so can we meet somewhere else”? Brandi gets a little nervous since she sees that Nick is watching (Jane also notices this) so she tells him quietly that there is a bar down the street called Eddies and that they can meet there in 20 minutes since she has to clean and finish up. Jane then smiles and says “I will go there now.” Jane leaves a five dollar tip and Brandi thanks him with a big smile. Jane says quietly “I will see you”. When Jane goes to the register, he notices that Nick is talking to Brandi and Nick does not seem happy and that Andy is at the register and takes the money and gives the change back to Jane and says thank you to Jane in a very heavy Greek accent. Jane smiles his same golden smile and says “You are very welcome and have a great night”. Andy implies the same thing in his heavy accent.

Ok, I am not too heavy on politics but when something appears on your TV screen each day because other members of the family want to see it, you cannot help but notice it or hear it. Now I am old enough where I can recall other first daughters or first kids like Julie Eisenhower, Caroline Kennedy, Amy Carter, and now Bush's daughters and I have to say that they sure have so much more class than this spoiled little brat of the Clintons. Just like the phrase goes, if you cannot take the heat, get out of the kitchen. Well, it is so evident that this scumbag and classless Chelsea cannot handle the limelight. Bad enough that she was so rude to people when her father was in the White House. And when she was a college student, she was really on a high horse that she was very nasty to papparazzi. Well, just too bad, ain't it since all public figures have to put up with it or just get out. The other first children handled these problems much more nicely.

Bush's daughters are putting up with the fact that most people don't like their father and call him all kinds of names but we never hear of them lashing out at people. When Nixon was involved in the Watergate and was forced to resign, yes Julie cried but she didn't last out at anyone. Now here this little classless primadonna of Chelsea whose father has an issue with faithfullness and sex (Well I guess, cannot blame him since his wife is so ugly and rude). Anyway, she cannot handle it when people now want to bring up her old man's scandal about his affairs. Well just too bad lady since you want to now be a public figure and now you expect everyone to be so nicey nice to you and kiss the ground you walk on. That is just not the way life is. There are a lot of people who do not like you since you want to be so arrogant and high and mighty. Maybe if you took the time to learn some manners, your life would be different today and you would not be so pathetic just like your old lady. And by the way, I am not defending Obama.

Leena who is a fashion designer finally got her big break thanks to Mr. Bigg and Carrie Bradshaw that she was finally able to not only move to California from Rockford, IL but to get a position which paid her six figures. There she was met at the airport parking lot by Beth who is covering a story on models and wants Leena’s take on them.

They hug like friends at the airport when they had only one conversation on the phone long distance. Leena heard through the grapevine that one of the models had died from a lethal drug. When she questioned Beth about this, Beth stated that model had gone to a nightclub the night before and someone put a deadly micky in her drink when she was not watching. Then the subject was left alone hopefully for good.

Beth takes Leena to her hotel room and gives her an hour to settle in and then she comes back to interview her for a short time. Beth then asks her where she received her fashion degree from and Leena states that she took an online course with Ashford University. She also stated that she is married and that her husband is an Accounting Professor at the local university in Rockford and that he will try for a position in California so that he can relocate when the term is over. Beth asked Leena how the living apart is and she stated it is rough when in reality Leena’s heart cringed since she wanted a divorce but because of her family background and cultural background, divorce is verboten.

When Beth asked about children, Leena stated proudly that both her children are in medical school. When asked how did she come upon this position, Leena stated that she grew up with Mr. Bigg and that is also how she met Carrie Bradshaw. She proudly stated that her family and Bigg’s family are good friends but she avoided the subject of the relationship of Carrie Bradshaw and Bigg since those two are very close friends of hers and she would never hurt them in any way even though she is in very little agreement with the way their thing carries on. Beth never heard of Carrie Bradshaw and knew very little of Bigg except for the fact that they are a very wealthy family. However Leena mentioned that Carrie would be a perfect model. She deliberately left out the part where Carrie had a bad fall on the runway stage when she had her chance.

Beth was getting a little bit bored with this interview but she couldn’t help but like Leena since she was very hospitable and nice and very welcoming. All she kept hoping for was a phone call interruption from Mick. As she looked at her phone, Leena asked Beth “Are you expecting a call?” Beth said “No, but sometimes this one annoying telemarketer calls at this time and I was just praying they wouldn’t call.” Sure enough, the phone rings that second and she sees it is Mick St. John. She right away instantaneously answers and Leena is then puzzled since she heard that original reply from Beth but waits patiently. Mick phones to assure her that she should not worry about how she approached him the other night while she was under the spell of that drug. Beth says she is in the middle of an interview rather than risking Leena to hear what happened. Mick wonders in puzzlement what could have happened now. Beth assures him, “This is just a new friend of mine who just moved to the area from the Midwest.”

Mick then lets her get back to her new friend. Then Beth remembers that Josh is still mad at her invites Leena to dinner at her own favorite restaurant. Leena says she will be ready at five. Beth says she will come and get her at the room. Leena then says “No, I can meet you in the lobby.” Then it is all set for a ladies night out.

Ok, I am now going to admit something touchy here...there is a guy at work whom I find very attractive and guess what....he is only two years younger than myself if that....he gave me a bag of Fritos today and I guess one has watch when a man gives a woman food...lol...I was doing lunchroom duty and he had to bring one of the kids in there from his class I guess and off course I am going to say hi...I mean I can't be rude to him and ignore him....lol....now I have a promise not to get involved with the peeps at my job...my only exception is going out with this one teacher's aide once this semester is over so I will have time to do something with her but I need to stay away from the men...now this man is way too nice....and it sure does not help that he is georgeous.....where are you G so I can get your advice on this....

On another note, I almost blew it with the laptop and ipod...now the funny thing is that the cert says ipod which I will be pretty mad if all I get is an ipod after doing seven offers...yes, I had to do seven offers since one did not bother to credit....so I had to do the Boca Java offer and now I have more coffee than I know what to do with since I had to do the Gevalia offer as a replacement in the plasma TV conga since my Time Life CD never credited and those peeps even called me to see how I was enjoying the CD and my answer to them was "you never even credited me for the plasma TV" and he pretended he didn't know what I was talking about...bums...lol...well back to the cert, my browser closed and I lost the cert and I couldn't get it back so I wrote them and then them emailed me this morning and told me to send the W-9 all filled out...now isn't this getting to be a regular thing with me...lol....

I never even heard of this movie since I know it is such an old movie anyway and most likely came out even before I had a VCR...now before you ask me if I still have a VCR, let me just tell you that this movie came out when no one had DVDs so now guess how old this movie is...the plasma TV was not even invented yet so now I have you there lol....

I had to watch this movie for this class I am taking and I finally watched it last night and loved it...very touching story about a Latino teacher teaching in an urban high school which is all Latinos as well. No, this is not a bilingual school neither since they all have to speak English. When I was once assigned to a Latino school here, I was speaking some Spanish and even wrote my greeting to the class in Spanish....I know some Spanish through my job experience....the children right away told me not to speak nor write anything on the board in Spanish since everyone there was required to speak English....mystery to me right there....?????.....lol....

Now back to the movie...this teacher goes into this school thinking he will teach computers and they tell him then that they couldn't get the computers so he is ready to walk out but they tell him that he has to teach remedial math...eeeekkkk...I hope I don't run into that too....but I just may and I changed my mind after watching this film....it showed unruly students with behavior issues who didn't want to be in school and they had too much responsibilities at home and some of the kids belonged to gangs but the teacher was able to reach them and make them learn and they really grew to like him....this makes me want to teach in a school like that once I get my certificate....this is also a true story....so it really happened and it is no work of fiction....

I think everyone should watch this movie and it is available at Blockbusters....

Now with the freebie sites...I just got news the other day that TopWebRewards approved and processed my certs and did the happy dance...wasn't it just two weeks ago that I was depressed that site would not do anything and I lost my gift that I paid bundles to qualify for....well my trick is to not cancel right away since it not only takes the integrity away but then these businesses lose money and then sites like that cannot have these offers.....on the laptop thing I had to do a replacement offer and it went through....my ipod nanos should be shipped next month or so they claim...what I now wonder is though I have heard they don't support WINA sites so there goes the audiobooks.....at least I get my music though....now these other companies may just send checks which may be better.....although I want the laptop instead of cash....they better not send just the ipod though because that is not why I did all those costly offers....I am now trying for a gift card since I owed someone an offer and I did the Lancome offer and greened right away so I just need 11 refs which is never a problem for me to get.....

Now this is one thing that is tricky for me to classify since I am both a student and do work and I make my money in different ways.....I already mentioned the ways I make my money in my other blog so I won't go there at this point.....anyone ever heard of sportslair by the way.....just thought I would ask....now what I will talk about is how I am getting some expensive items for the price of next to nothing....ha ha....yes, I have a plasma TV coming here and a 42 inch one at that...then a DVD player and two ipod nanos and an ipod video....no I cannot afford these items but here is how I am getting them.....I joined a site for getting a two free nanos and I only had to do one offer and get 10 refs...well in less than a week, I ended up getting 11 refs and they all greened instantly.....then I filled in my approval and they approved it the other day and I just put in my order and they just have to get it from the vendor to be shipped to me.....

Now the DVD player, I happen to get a pop-up and did one offer and it greened right away and now I just have to get it notarized and mailed....

The plasma TV, I joined a conga and did eight offers and they gave me a ref and all I had to do was submit my W-9......now the laptop, there was also a conga so I joined and did 6 offers and they gave me a ref and my offers still have to go green and so do my refs and then I can not only get my laptop but also the video ipod they throw in as a bonus.....ain't this all so sweet.......

I never once thought of a career in real estate but if I were living in Atlanta, I may consider since the fact that condo company just launced their new website where the buyers can now get their listings. They also launched a program called "Building Specialists" where the real estate agents specializes in a particular building among those Atlanta Condos. These are generally luxury high rises and very profitable off course.

Now the buyers also have an advantage on this website where they can get contact information to directly contact the seller of the condo they are interest in. Developers and sellers can also list on this site.

Let us just be honest...they are everywhere and many people take them...they have side effects just like the cold and cough meds at the OTC drugstores...my own brother had an incident one time where when mixing OTCs for a cough he had and then late at night he had passed out and the ambulance was called and he had to spend two nights in the hospital.....now if this were prescriptions then one knows care and safety has to be taken and it is now much easier with this one web access from Epocrates to the health care professionals so that patient safety, healthcare efficiency and patient satisfaction can be achieved.

Now if someone is on Lorazepam and has to go to the doctor for another reason and surgery is needed, there are many anesthetics that would not be feasible to administer to the patient since this particular drug is almost like a sedative....there are other alternatives available and that would be much easier....

I was watching Dateline last night and they uncovered a scam in which many innocent couples who are unable to have their own babies and didn't make it through adoption agencies went on the Internet only to meet a "dream mother" who was willing to give up her baby for adoption....this really led to some very sticky things only it turned out to be a huge racket...will do this story in parts....

Ok, there were rumors early this summer that George Bush was going in the Big Brother house...now how would we feel if Bill Clinton went in the Big Brother house...well that is just what may happen Payperpost wants to know what is going on in the Big Brother house and cannot subscribe to the live feeds due to their busy schedule....a ton of bloggers on the Internet have the feeds and give updates and ads on blogs about Big Brother all the time, but they still give postings in the editorial and opinions format and they have a tendency to be biased in their postings....I know and I don't even have the feeds but when I give my postings on the Big Brother show, I am very biased since I have my own personal feelings attached and just like the rest of the Big Brother bloggers, the emotions run high since all of us have our own likes and dislikes on the houseguests....

Payperpost wants to have a blog that gives a very objective post and guess who they chose to do it...you got it...Bill Clinton since he is one of the very few who have no preferences as to who gets evicted and who wins the grand prize...so he will be sent in the Big Brother house to live in there for two weeks and get to know the other houseguests and he will even compete in the competitions and if he has to eat slop, he will eat slop without complaining....just like the rest of the houseguests, he will be cut off from his family, and the whole world and no morning runs nor golf games for him during that time...only immunity he has is that he is free from eviction for two weeks and after two weeks he then goes to sequester and sees how the jurors are living and getting along over there....he will also be cut off from everything just like the houseguests....

The only priviledge Bill Clinton will have unlike the rest of them is that he gets to blog everyday about the Big Brother house and the sequester house but he will not have web surfing access and full Internet access...he will just have blog access...and in the meantime we can read his blog and Payperpost will then have accurate reports coming in and they can work with that.....

Bill Clinton also gets to go to the wrap party at the end of the season....

How to Approach the Garden

Ok, I come back from vacation and there are a lot of weeds in the garden...now we had a sever weed problem in the yard as well and I didn't know what to do but since we don't have something that can sprinkle weed killer in the yard, had to bury my head in the sand about that....then we spent a lot just to dig up the edges of the backyard so I can have my garden....I have a flower garden, veggie garden and herbs...although I don't have much herbs.....the veggies are doing good...I am getting cukes and tomotoes but I am only getting cherry tomatoes and not the bigger ones....the bean plants are eaten up and not fruiting..the okra plants are very tall but not yet fruiting.....the lettuce is coming good and the cilantro is coming good just like the chives and the cabbage is now coming....the bell pepper plants are doing good but not fruiting yet....

I am going to do part two to talk about the flower garden....

Well the three outdoor things I like most are iceclimbing, rockclimbing, and paintball...can't do iceclimbing down South and paintball can only be done when it is not that warm...here fall comes early so it works out great for me but I go nuts waiting for it...I have to order one of those cheap airsoft guns from Zephyrpaintball. Another headache I have to deal with is the garden...while I was gone...my next door was kind enough to water it but now I have to deal with the weeds and I never knew Okra plants get tall...I also found out you have to not only tie up tomatoe plants, but also the beans, bell peppers, and cucumbers...yes my work is cut out for me so I will just take it slow and easy and not push too hard...

On another note....sometimes I wish I had a bigger yard and more acerage and Barrington is one great place since crime is also low and the houses are beautiful...one of the best realties of Barrington Real Estate is NewCastle Realty since they put the client's needs first.

Back in the 70s when I saw the confederate fly from people's windows and displayed at the capital, it made me wonder how ridiculous...now that I am in the North, it offends me even more.....the Civil War ended in the mid 19th. century and it is now the 21st. century and they are still displaying those flags and selling confederate license plates....I find that all very offensive....ok so I see some want to live in the past and maybe not be an "United States" but the Confederacy instead.....craziness just goes on...

One thing at least everyone agrees on in this country is how good Medicare is when needed and something for the elders and the disabled....Epocrates now has a new Drug and Health Plan formulary product that helps the clinicians get better care for their patients...they can access it online and get all the information about all the medications....It also includes pricing coverage for all Medicare part D coverage...remember when Medicare did not have a prescription plan and that now shows that there is a big improvement since meds can now be covered....so now someone with a bipolar disorder who is on Abilify...if they have to go in ER for a bad cut, their clinician then get information for what treatments and drugs that won't interfere just to give effective theraphy and heal the bad cut.

Yeah, you just read right, it is over and back to reality so here I be...it was wonderful and cheap....just did cheap things like shopping and rode the log flume...kinda scary at first and went to the mall...I have always loved malls but it is not my hangout unlike my teen days which all teens love malls....I never lost my love for them but it is no longer my first priority...not like it use to be....I will talk more about this trip in bits and pieces since staying on one subject can lead to boredom....

They saved this one lady from being exploited and hear this now...she was one of poor widows from 9/11...her original lawyer filed a suit to get 2 million dollars, yes you read right and this lady lost a close loved one.....now let us thank Simmons, Jannace & Stagg for filing a motion to dismiss the other lawyer's suit to collect that 2 million.....kudos to that law firm....

Sov Fans May Become Divided....

Someone at Kaysar's board brought up an interesting discussion that whatever happens in the Big Brother house this year could divide the sov fans up....what has happened now is that many are mad at James and yet many support James and I am one of them...I am not a Janelle fan although I think she needs to get rid of the floaters....now many are turning on James and some many think Kaysar is not doing a good job....this could also split up the sov fans...the way I feel is that I don't care who supports who since these things don't get in the way of my friendships and these kinds of things maybe can test a friendship....

Let's Take Out The Floaters......

There is much controversy about this year's Big Brother All Stars....some love Chilltown...some cannot stand them...those who liked the "nerd herd" last year don't like the sovs and then you got the Janelle bashers.....then most don't like floaters like Dani, George, Diane, Marcellas, and Erika....I say take all the floaters out since they are not playing the game...well that is just what Janelle wants to do and she tells her team that but they don't support her decision telling her she has to take Chilltown out...well hello, they will just come after the sovs if she takes them out.....I guess they all are acting like pansies since no one wants to do that dirty work.....just my take on this whole thing......so who will win....I guess a floater or Chilltown.....although I hope either James or Kaysar wins....

Drama All For Nothing....

Ok, I have been nice and quiet too long now.....I have been a member of Kaysar's board for almost a year....a lot of us have formed a very strong friendship and bonds...just two months ago, Kaysar told us that when he goes back on Big Brother All Stars, there will be newbies on the board and all us old timers are to treat them right and not have the "cult of exclusivevlty" (mis spelling)......so now Kaysar is back on TV doing Big Brother All Stars and there are newbies on the board and us oldtimers have been nice to them...but hear this....are they nice to "us"....no way Jose....they have been rude and picking on all of us and disrespecting the mods to no end.....now I don't like to be a snitch and go to the mods on this subject even though one of them is a close friend of mine......there is another one I talk to...one of the newbies had the nerve to say that some of us pretend to be Muslim since Kaysar is Muslim...now that is totally a pathectic statement....I sure do not pretend to be Muslim and I am proud of my beliefs and what they are....I am not a Muslim and why should I state to be a Muslim when I am not....I was nice to that chickie though and said "No one here is pretending, the ones who claim it seem to know the Koran and I think they do know the Koran"......I stay out of the Islamic debates anyway since I know nothing of that religion....I was taught at a young age to respect every religion.....

What really interests me about search engines is the results that come up when typing in a topic of my personal choice...yes we keep hearing of the Alexa ranking that goes by popularity of a website meaning the tabulations of the number of visitors everyday....

Now I just typed in flowers in the google search page since I want to read more on flowers...yes I know I keep doind entries on flowers and I have even confirmed that I have a flower garden....so by typing in flowers, the number one result is 1800flowers.com and then the three top results are FTD, ProFlowers, and Dot Flowers.

Now Google has begun beta testing their accessible web search for the visually challenged. this type of search, is available on Google’s experimental software site at http://labs.google.com/ . So on Google Accessible Search, the number one site for "flowers" is tesco.com/flowers. This is a UK site that is very well coded and 1800flowers.com is not even on the first page of results.

Now type in "online marketing" and the number one result is usweb.com and it is the same result on on Google Accessible Search. The reason for this is the company created the USWeb site in Web Standards, and it is in compliance with Web Accessibility guidelines. Now when I do a search for another term “Internet marketing”, I see that strategy pays off even more with a #2 ranking on Google Accessible Search. Trouble In The Garden....

This is my first year gardening since we moved here and I had to have space dug out for garden beds..ok so one would think that is a clean and fresh start although there are always hidden problems....there will always be weeds and then what if a squirrel buries something...

Now half my flower seeds never came up but the ones that did really look beautiful and I have some pictures posted in my garden blog.

Now I find out from the gardening forum that there are unwanted trees in my garden...they just sprouted last month and already they are a waist high and when I posted pics yesterday...several people came forward and stated that those were pecan saplings...so I am wondering how did those get in the garden since I have no pecan trees nor know anyone with those....they told me that a squirrel could have buried the seeds or a neighbor may have dropped one and the squirrel found it and buried it there....

Now I have to trim those down and wait until the season is over so I can pour the poison....another huge headache......

Downloading Music....

I first started with Napster and then found there were not many songs as some of the other companies have and that I was paying a lot more so I switched to Frostwire and got a much better deal and I have more songs that I can download.

Now the catch to downloading is that one has to have the artist or the song title and as I found out last night, even that was not enough.

Now there was a scene in the movie City By The Sea that had a restaurant scene and the jukebox was playing something from the 1950s and I never knew the name of it, so I just did a soundtrack search for City By The Sea and then found it and when I typed it in my search for the music downloading nothing valid came up. So I had to do some more sleuthing until I could come up with more information and then my search finally proved fruitful.

BB Nominations And Veto

The other day James who is the HOH this week nominated Will (the doctor who won back in BB2) and George. Will claimes he wants to go home but who is going to believe him? George was nominated since they think he is sneaky.

They just showed the veto contest and George won the veto so he took himself off the block and now Jase was put on the block. He is not at all happy that he may be going home. He was pretty sneaky his own season and Nakomis got him out that year and so the BB6 people are leary as far as keeping him in the game.

They need to know that Dani and Marcellas are both playing both sides.

Biased Decisions In The Paralympic Committee

Nancy Burpee who is a world class swimmer made an attempt to participate in the 2004 Paralympic Games that was held in Athens, Greece since the United States team was selected at the US Olmpic trials. Ms. Burpee already had world records in the 50 and 100 yard freestyle at the trials held in Minnesota.

Now here is the catch, Ms. Burpee was disqualified by an Australian referee on a procedural techicality. After her disqualification, Ms. Burpee called Mr. Kevin Simmons, who is a partner at Simmons, Jannace, & Stagg and asked the law firm to intercede on her behalf to veto the disqualification. She also asked that the firm take action against the United States Olympic Committee to require that the committee name her to the Olmpic team. The law firm represented Ms. Burpee on a pro bono basis.

The law firm then began arbitration under the United States Olympic Committee Rules and live testimony was taken from swim referees in Canada and Australia. Simmons, Jannace & Stagg stated that the Australian referee showed bias against Ms. Burpee by making various comments meaning that this Australian referee did not want Ms. Burpee competing against an Australian paralympic swimmer. The law firm also stated that the United States Paralympic swim trials were not held in accordance with the paralympic rules.

Unfortunately even with all these efforts, an independent arbitrator ruled against Ms. Burpee and declined to force the United States Olympic Committee to name her to the Paralympic Team. Ms. Burpee has moved on and is continuing with her swimming career and will compete in the World Championships in the upcoming year.

I know I have mentioned Florida many times and yes I don't ever get it out of my mind since I have always loved going there just to get a break....

Now I love Disney World and I plan to one day see the whole place that can no longer be covered in a whole day like it use to be....

Let me just get my frequent flyer miles and then spend them on flying to Orlando and I can do that the next time they have the poetry convention in Orlando since I am always submitting my poetry to them and they keep sending me these plans....

As we know Nakomis got evicted last night and now Diane is there and do I ever know that if she ever wins HOH, she will go after Kaysar and the other S6ers since people never forget that they were nominated....she is also a friend of Nakomis so I know she is not happy that Nak is gone....In my opinion even though Kaysar stated that he though Nak is a good player, she was just being a floater this season and they need to get rid of the floaters....

I mean like play the game or leave....now Kaysar made a deal with chilltown that he won't nominate them if just in case one of them got HOH, they put up the floaters but are they going to do it? No, since Mike and Will know not to win HOH....Will plans to skate this season thinking that is how he will win.....

I say we get rid of chilltown....but since James won the HOH, he may not put them up.....

Now I have heard this from many sources and I never knew of this name until a couple of days ago since when is there time for me to be a reality TV junkie not that there is nothing with it...in fact, I wish I could see all the reality shows....

Now whoever thought that someone who is not in the BB7 house and never was in the show BB would impact this season's game...that is right and this is coming from joker's update....Toni Ferrari who has been on other reality shows once roomed with Diane Henry and it has been confirmed by both parties that they are no longer friends...so how does Toni Ferrari handle this but call up all the S6ers and tell them that Jase and Diane have the Mr. and Mrs. Smith alliance....

Now let us all remember that Jase showed back in his own season that he had an obsession with Brad Pitt and wanted to be just like him...now the other HGs in this season suspect the secret alliance since they are never seen in the house speaking to one another so they are all suspicious and feel just like what Danielle from BB5 stated "Yes, it is the Mr. and Mrs. Smith Alliance."....Janelle also confirmed she got a phone call from Ms. Ferrari.....

History Of Aurora and DeKalb

Just the other day, I went to visit DeKalb since I like to go there for nostalgia and I once did live there a while back. I hadn't visited there in a while so I drove there the other day and spent a few hours there. I still think it is a very pretty and quaint little town. Northern Illinois University is located there and it is the barbed wire capitol of the world. There are a lot of old homes there and do I ever wish that I could own them.

What did I end up doing was checking out their real estate listings and and house prices and I saw it costs more to buy a home there than what it costs where I live to own a home and I don't live in a shack. LOL!!!! Now I was not really serious about moving to DeKalb, I just wanted to see how much their houses costs there and what all is available.

Now there is another town close by to DeKalb but it is in other counties (Kane, DuPage, Will, and Kendall all combined) instead of DeKalb county. It is The City Of Aurora that was founded in 1834 and then in 1837 it was incorporated into a city when their Post Office was established. Aurora is also called "The City Of Lights" because it is the first city in the United States to use electric street lights so within 15 miles of each other we see a lot history. Aurora is 45 miles southwest of Chicago and I just mentioned the street lights and then DeKalb is 60 miles west of Chicago and invented the barbed wire. DeKalb was also founded in the mid 1800s and has retained some of their old buildings.

Aurora now has a population of over 157,000 and houses six school districts and has two community colleges; college of DuPage being one of them.

The real estate market for Aurora includes condos, townhouses, single family houses and more. Single family properties have been sold for last year in the price range of $56,100 to $975,000. The condos and townhouses have ranged from $52,000 to $578,000. This is similar to prices with a Chicago Realtor .

Aurora is closest to the Fox Valley Park District. The Park Disrict covers 47 square miles of land and three different towns including Aurora. The Fox Valley Park District has golf courses, an aquatic center and a few fitness centers, plus much more.

Aurora also has a zoo that is open daily with free admission.

Ok, I just found this out at a Reality Show online site that this year, all 20 of the BB all stars who wanted in recieved $7,000 and yes that includes the ones who never made it in the house.

Now the ones who made it in the house all are recieving $2,000 a week and once they go to the sequester house they will recieve $5,000 a week. so let us get our calculators out and figure the first one in the sequester house will get this $7,000 + ($2,000 x 6) + ($5,000 x 6) = $7,000 + $12,000 + $30,000 = $49,000 TOTAL

Ladies and gentlemen, that is a lot more than what a half the population in this country make a year. Now let us figure out for those who are only in sequester for a week. $7,000 + ($2,000 x 11) + ($5,000 x 1) = $7,000 + $22,000 + $5,000 = $34,000

I find this show to be somewhat boring....I loved it the first two weeks but then when I see how some of the contestants get treated by one of the judges who will remain unamed, I start to wonder well wait a second how many people out there have the nerve not only to get on stage and perform something they are passionate about but also on public TV when so many are watching.

To me, this is just an Hollywood version of the Gong show. I never did believe in the Gong show since I feel everyone should have a fair chance to perform their acts.

I admit I learned computers and electronics at a very early age so nothing every intimidated about neither but for my mother and others in her age group, it gets hard for them to learn and to get acclimated to so I never mind showing them. For my DH's parents who have never owned a computer and the first amount of high sums I get in the bank, I will buy them a home PC and teach them everything.

Now DH's mother told me just the other day that digital cameras intimade her and I showed her how to use it and how easy it is. High tech is pretty much taking over so I feel we should all learn and it is not hard and there are many tutorials on the Internet available. Power Of Veto

I watched another episode of Big Brother tonight. I don't get the live feeds off course since I need to focus on other things in my life. Whatever happened on the show tonight all took place in the last few days so everything was a surprise to me tonight.

Now Kaysar who is this week's HOH nominated Diane and Nakomis to go on the block and I don't get it since Chilltown is out to get him but he makes a deal with them telling them that if he does not put them up, they (Chilltown gets the floaters if they end up winning HOH).

The two girls are very upset. They were both crying. I kind of feel that this is all the friendship again and that Kaysar thinks those girls are the friendship which in no way they are not. Now I have always respected Kaysar, but I wish he didn't put those two up for nominations.

They showed the POV (Power Of Veto) game and ceremony and Erika won POV and guess what she decided not to use it meaning that Nakomis and Diane are still up of nominations and one of them leaves this week. My heart just aches for those two ladies even though I have always respected Kaysar and still do but he seemed so ruthless this past week.

Just my thoughts...no hard feelings.....

I don't know how many of you get into computer games but I love them and one of my favorites is Insaniquarium. For those of you who are not familiar with this game or never heard of it, this is how it plays...

It is one of Yahoo's favorites and you can either download it or play it at the web but I play mine at the website. What you do it click to feed two fishes that are given to you initially. Meantime you have to click on coins before they drop to the bottom to earn money. Then after you earn money, you can then buy better quality food and it is very important to keep your fish fed since they will die fast and once all your fish are dead, you are back to square one.

Now as you can buy a carnivore that gives you more points since they drop crystals and give you more money and you have to feed them by buying guppies and meantime when the aliens or monsters come, you have to kill them before they eat all your fish.

As you advance to each level you are given more opportunities and pets and you can make even more money.

Superman Return

I had taped all the first four movies of this back when I had HBO many moons ago and then the ever beloved star of that movie had that horrendous accident and passed on which was one of the saddest days not only for Hollywood but for this country as well.

Then they found someone they thought looked like Christopher Reeve and have him do the Superman movie titling it Superman Returns and yes it is a very fitting title. Since that can be interpreted many different ways and I took it at first that yes Superman did die since we lost Christopher Reeve and then Superman comes back in someone else.

There is off course a Lex Luther in this just like what is Batman without the Joker...then there is Lois Lane and if you have not seen this movie, I have to tell you that you are in for some surprises. There are some sad scenes in this and when they played the theme song, I must say it was like hearing the ghost of Superman.

I saw this in a 3D IMAX for the maximum effects and just loved it and the previews to other movies were also in 3D. The whole movie is not in 3D, it is just certain scenes and you see a signal on the screen when it is time to put your glasses on.

Yes, I say this movie was not only worth my time but worth driving all the way several towns over to see it in 3D IMAX.

My First Scanning.....

Over a year ago, I signed up and applied for a home scanning program and it took them over a year to get back to me...

I got the call over a month ago asking me if I was still interested and I said sure I really want to do it.

Well, I just got the scanner the other day and I finally scanned my groceries today and transmitted and I still have to hear from them since according to the website it does not state my last transmission so maybe it takes time.

Once I accumalate enough points, I can redeem them for prizes from anything from a digital camera to a camping tent or a toolbox, blender, or just cookware. There are just so many things in there and I will have fun with this.

I would like to get the woodworking set so that I can make window boxes for a garden next year since I would love to plant along the windows.

I get asked that at times and I was substitute teaching for the last few years and I plan to get my days cut back so I can concentrate on other things. I have a college degee in Math but did I ever use it? I guess I did at times when I subbed but did the kids let me teach, I don't think so as for them sub day means playtime......

I also have a travel agent diploma and a paralegal diploma but I never worked as a travel agent nor as a paralegal...I only took the paralegal course since I once thought of becoming a lawyer.

Now I am making some income just working out of my home. I use to autosurf and play with hypes until the problem with 12 daily pro and stormpay happened way back when and a whole bunch of us lost our monies and we even had to close our bank accounts since stormpay was going into a lot of people's accounts and taking money out of there. I wonder what happened to those who were making a living off 12 dp since Charis scammed everyone and tried to cover her behind.

Now I just do free PTRs meaning reading emails and filling out offers and then get a check...I haven't reached payout yet....

I blog for money too with google adsense and two other companies as well.

Meantime I am working on a novel that will be published late next year.....

I belong to this one Yahoo group on the Internet that my friend runs and it is called the Butterflies and Bunnies group and it is a cross stitch group. They have stitch alongs and I remember I started working on an angel and it is being done on linen. The pattern is pictured on the left.

I never cross stitched on linen before so it was quite a challenge for me but one problem...I haven't finished it yet since I get side tracked by other projects and my DH wanted me to work on his afghan and finish it. The only picture I have of it is the granny squares and of the afghan wrapped around him. I will just post the one with the granny squares so that everyone has an idea of what the afghan looks like. The photo on the top right side has the squared from a Christmas afghan ( I haven't finished it yet) wrapped around the teddy bear and the granny square that is on the Tweetybird is the one that belong to the afghan I completed for my DH.

I was also cross stitching a bear pattern and that too was done on linen. I was getting much of my work done on stitchers night at this local cross stitch shop and it closed recently after almost being in business for 2o years. That was pretty sad since not only was it a great shop but the stitchers nights were great night to get together with friends and also the owner always treated us to pizzas that night and we could bring snacks as well. I always brought salsa and nachos that everyone loved.

A New Sweater...

I know I haven't talked about my crafts in a while so here goes one entry on it...Last month I started a new sweater that is multi-colored and it is in circular knitting so it is quite a fun project. Not only using so many colors makes this project challenging but it is the variety of patterns used in this and that I use a very small yarn.

I got this pattern from a magazine called Cast On and it is a back issue from 1999 and I am so glad I saved it. I always save all these back issues since they come in handy....

I haven't been working on it for the last two weeks since I needed a break from the small knitting. I also need to spend time with the family as well.

I ordered one beading book today since I do want to get back into beadwork. This book covers on doing beadwork to make presents for others and I can even market my products.

Movies That Show Antique Furniture....

I saw a great movie the other night called Lethal Eviction. It mainly showed an old apartment building and the movie is a thriller based on all the going ons of what went on in the building...what impressed me in the movie was a lot of the tenants had some really nice furniture and I will even say that some had very good antique pieces that looked very elegant....

Since I am a writer I am always trying to learn new facts and I now want to focus this entry on furniture....I will talk about the history of furniture. Much of the history of furniture is based on the culture where it came from...one would be surprised at the materials used and the methods of decorations....many methods of decorations would be inlaying, painting or gilding, wood carving, veneering, and marquetry.

Western furniture which would also focus on the furniture that is used right here in United States comes from a few sources like Egyptian, Asian (Persian and Chinese), Greek and Gothic. Now Oriental furniture has the carving and inlay on ebony and teak. Egyptian furniture goes as far back as 6,000 years old and consists of woodworking, structure, and it also includes inlays of gold and ivory. One of the most attractive features is the carving representing animal forms.

The ancient Greeks prefered the low couch, tripod, and a chair with curved outlines. The Romans had adopted the Greek and Etruscan methods and added many decorated variations during the imperial period. During the 20th. century, there were many technological changes in the chairs like the all-metal folding chairs, metal-legged chairs, slumber chairs, and most of all ergonomic chairs. Reclining chairs starting becoming very popular because of the invention of the television set.

I know I make a lot of entries on flowers here and my other blogs too....I can't help it since flowers is my thing and then I love to photograph them since my love affair is with photography and I have posted some of my own nature photos here......

I am also growing a garden of flowers this year from Bachelor Buttons to Petunias to Pansies and Geraniums to Selosias....I am even trying my hand at Lupins that are now starting to bud....I hope to have a bigger garden next year since I plan to lasagna early in the fall both in my front yard and back yard.....I am still debating whether to have a portable nursery for next Spring so that I can produce my own flaps from seeds instead of taking a chance in the ground for everything just from seeds...I may do that for the seeds that didn't germinate this year....

Maybe I should have worked for a florist or a nursery or even a horticulturist. I keep checking out places on the web for not only seeds and garden advice. I also check out online florists since they are very knowledgable about flowers. I have learned that there are so many types of summer blooms just perfect for wedding bouquets for those getting married or those who will be standing up in a wedding. Those same type of flowers can also be used for bouquets, centerpieces, and decorations. Lilies, orchids, daisies, and dahlias burst with colors, warmth and grace. I have a dahlia bush, daisies, and orchids although my dahlia flowers had a short life span this year but my daisies and orchids are doing good. One of the best colors for summer wedding flowers is a white color that is airy or solid.

Regardless of which one flower one chooses, all summer flowers are very decorative. Now take the *Calla Lilies* These are funnel-shaped and very elegant and they aren't really a flower at all, but a large horn-shaped extension of the stem, called a spathe, which ranges from 6" to 9" in length. They are mostly available from March through June and come in a small variety of colors that range from pure white to orange to dark magenta. They are also very popular for wedding bouquets as well as for centerpieces, or for bridesmaids to carry in a wedding. Then there is also the *Dendrobium Orchids* now these are delicate, six-petaled tropical flowers and they are least expensive during the months from April to August. They are also vailable in a variety of colors from simple to very much exotic. The dendrobiums make excellent additions to a woman's hair, corsages and boutonierres. Also one can sprinkle their petals over tables, down the aisle, or add to centerpieces for a wonderful floral arrangement. Then there are *Dahlias* that are vailable in a variety of rich colors and easiest to get in the summer and early fall. I can attest to the fact that these excellent blooms with large petals. I mean theses flowers are huge and beautiful and they make great centerpieces and pew decorations, and are also great for bouquests. I will now talk about the *Daisy* that blooms from May to July. Mine are just blooming now. Daisies have always been used as wedding flowers since represent hope, purity, and innocence. They can aslso mixed with green colors in a bridal bouquet and placed in bud vases for wonderful centerpieces, or be even used in bouquets for the bridesmaids. I would always recommend one to use daisies for a summer wedding. I must now mention the *Chrysanthemum* which I just learned is the Daisy's spiny-bloomed cousin. They Chrysanthemum is mostly available during the hot months of summer. I guess I can still plant those if I want since I still have room in my garden. These flowers have narrow petals and they also come in a very large variety of color. They also look exquisite in bouquets, centerpieces, and decorations. Last but least is the *Baby's Breath*. All the stems have tiny white blossoms and these flowers can be used as a fillers for bouquets, centerpieces, corsages, and boutonierres.

Most florists carry have the Baby's Breath all year around but if one would rather do their own flowers or prefer to choose from their own garden, the baby's breath goes in full bloom in a personal garden from May through August.

We Are In The Month Of The Rose.....

I am having some luck with my gardening this year and I didn't have to plant the rose bush since it has been there a while....I just love roses and now I wish I clipped some roses off the bush since they have mostly whithered now...

I belong to a gardening forum and they have blogs there too and I also read other gardening blogs on the Internet and I happen upon this one blog located at flowershop.com .

I learned over there that June is National Rose Month. According to this flower shop blog there is no other flower as well known or that has so much history and meaning attached to it. We all know that red roses mean love, but did I learned from reading this blog that if one presents a red and white rose together it symbolizes “unity?” Make it pink and white and it means “I love you and always will.” Now let's figure where does this come from? In reality the local florist does not make this stuff up. These meanings have been around for centuries. The “language of flowers” took off during Victorian times. Dictionaries were then published to allow people to “read the bouquet” they had just received. Any florist will say that one of the most popular questions is “what does a certain color mean?” Here is a short list of some popular colors and their Victorian meanings. Red stands for Passionate Love; Yellow means Unfaithfulness; Pale Pink defines Youth and Femininity; White means Keep My Secret; Pink means Perfect Happiness; Coral states I admire your accomplishments; Leaf of a rose means You May Hope; Time has passed by for so long and today we have rose colors that our ancestors never dreamed of. One thing has never changed is that we are still using flowers to communicate our love, devotion and respect for someone special. I know I sure am.....I am have helped something from going sour just by the flowers......Let us all remember this is now Rose Month....

Extreme Sports And Paintball

Most who know me know that I am into extreme sports like ice climbing and rock climbing....in fact I just did some rock climbing yesterday......and what good is winter without ice climbing....

When I feel like being good, that is when I get into paintball and I really love that sport and I did reading into this and found out that paintball also known as Airsoft originally started in Japan during the early 1980s. It was illegal to own firearms in Japan but since there was an interest in them, a company started producing spring-powered replicas of firearms that fired 6mm, plastic BBs.

Then later in the late 1980s the sport spread out to neighboring countries such as Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan, and the Philippines. Airsoft started appearing in North America and Europe during the middle of the 1990's.

An Interesting Craft Project For The Summer.....

I know I have mentioned before how I love to work with children and that is what I do and then I know I mentioned about my love for crafting and also when it includes flowers....since I know that many here love to craft, have children and love flowers, I found this idea for a great craft project from another website......

They have this monogram of flowers project featured that was written by Cathie Filian and Steve Piacenza from the DIY Network. Now since summer is finally here, you can use all the blooming flowers and rich colors around you and make an easy floral monogram for your front door, a baby’s nursery or a teenager’s room. The possibilities are endless! You can adapt this project to fit your own personal taste and decor by choosing your own favorite types of flowers and colors of ribbons. The pastel colors in the hydrangea petals are a fresh look for spring and summer, but, with richer colors and velvet ribbon, you can make the same monogram for fall and winter. You can also adapt other flowers and colors to suit a holiday theme like using Poinsettas for Christmas and using pinks and blues for Easter...Cathie first made this project as a gift her mother-in-law’s birthday. Supplies:

6-inch wood letter of choice

white craft paint & paintbrush

floral print scrapbook paper

glue stick

hot glue

tacky glue

1 large silk hydrangea

1/4-inch decorative ribbon (enough to go around your letter, plus 10 inches)

small rhinestones or ultra fine glitter

Plaque Steps:

1. Paint the back, front and sides of the letter with the white craft paint and allow to dry.

2. Lightly trace the letter onto the scrapbook paper.

3. Cut out the tracing and use a glue stick to attach the paper to the front of the letter.

4. Use your fingers to press out any air bubbles.

5. Cut 10 inches off your decorative ribbon. (This will be your hanger)

6. Turn the letter over and attach the ribbon hanger by forming a “U” shape with the ribbon and hot gluing the ends of the ribbon to the back of the letter about 2 inches from the top.

7. Using your hot glue gun, attach the remaining ribbon around the outer edge of the letter.

8. Break apart the silk flower so you have lots of little petals.

9. Use hot glue to attach the petals to the front of the letter. (You can glue them in a random pattern or a design of your choice)

10. Use a drop of glue and add a few sprinkles of ultra fine glitter to the center of the petals or add rhinestones for decorative effect.

The Mystery Of The Hope Diamond....

Since I am now off my regular job for the summer, there is so much I can now do that I normally cannot do during the off summer months....I have my gardening, my crafts, my blogging, my family, my photohobby and then I have some mandatory things that have to be done like resizing my rings....one of the rings I was looking at is my diamond engagement ring that I recieved many years back...it is just so beautiful and it got me thinking to the day when I was given that ring just a few days after DH proposed to me.

Now I do have a weakness for sappy love stories and I was also thinking of the Hope Diamond since the sequel to the Titanic is coming soon even though there is a controversy surrounding Leo Decaprio since his characted died in the first one...the one scene that moved everyone in the world.....several months later one of the jewelry that was popularily sold was a blue rhinestone necklace with a big blue rhinestone in the center.....

Now since one of my crafts include beadwork and jewelry making someone left behind one of those necklaces and never came back to collect it and I was making every effort to track the owner....someone just said to give it up and save it for myself and I felt guilty on this but then I had project ideas on this on how I could make an excellent necklace on this....I never did anything yet but I still get to thinking about the Hope Diamond.....I did a little research on this gem and found the following information.....

There is a legend in India that when the large blue diamond was stolen from an idol in India, a curse fell on not only for the owner of the diamond but for all who touched it. The curse held bad luck and death. This legend originally began with a theft. It all started many centuries ago when a man named Tavernier travelled to India. While he was there, he stole a large blue diamond from the forehead (or eye) of a statue of the Hindu goddess Sita. After this happened according to the legend, Tavernier was mauled by wild dogs when he was visiting Russia. This happened after he had sold the diamond. This blue diamond or otherwise known as the Hope diamond had many people intrigued for centuries. This diamond's perfect quality, large size, and rare color make it excitingly unique and beautiful.

Then this diamond has quite a bit of history that includes being possessed by King Louis XIV, stolen during the French Revolution and then sold to earn money for gambling.

When the Hope diamond went on sale again back in 1949, it was bought by a New York jeweler by the name of Harry Winston. Winston had others wear the diamond to balls to raise money for charity. There are people who believe that Winston wanted to get rid of the Hope diamond so that he would not be affected by the deadly curse. Mr. Winston actually donated the Hope diamond to the Smithsonian Institution back in 1958 only because he believed in helping to create newly established gem collection as well as to inspire others to donate.

Summer Sports..........

While we all know that the Winter Olympics this past year was our major entertainment this past year and now summer is here where sports gets really very interesting.....and then we can talk of the Summer Olympics of 2004 that was held in Athens, Greece.

So many fun things happen during the Olympics where they have the athletes compete who have been training all their lives and we get a good look into their professional lives and off course sports life....we also have to keep one thing in mind and that is there are some unfortunate incidents that happen behind the scenes......seems like there are always so many controversies going on during the Summer Olympics.....there was one that came into mind that happened to Nancy Burpee during that year....

Nancy Burpee is a world class paralympic swimmer who attempted to participate in the Paralympic games in 2004 held in Greece. The United States Paralympic team was already selected at the United States Olympic trials and Ms. Burpee had set world records in the 50 and 100 yard freestyle at the trials held in Minnesota.

At the Paralympic trials, Ms. Burpee was disqualified by an Australian referee on a procedural technicality. The law firm, Simmons, Jannace & Stagg then represented Ms. Burpee on a pro bono basis as soon as Nancy Burpee phoned Kevin P. Simmons; one of the partners at the law firm. She wanted to have the disqualification removed. The law firm stated that the Australian referee showed bias against Ms. Burpee and that the Australian referee did not want Ms. Burpee competing against an Australian paralympic swimmer. Ms. Burpee's attorneys also argued that the United States Paralympic swim trials were not held in accordance with the paralympic rules. Unfortunately an independent arbitrator ruled against Ms. Burpee and as a result did not force the United States Olympic Committee to name her to the Paralympic Team.

Nancy Burpee still continues her career in swimming....

None of us can forget the Titanic and other famous cruise lines that sank and they were even guaranteed not to sink nor hit anything that would make them sink. Now with technology, it is even safer for the little ships and fishermen to navigate and not be in danger spots since there are now free electronic downloads of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NAOO) Raster Navigational Charts. A Raster chart is a digitally scanned image of a paper nautical chart that is used by mariners for navigation. It is used to make navigation a lot safer than ever before. Those are always updated and are made available at http://nauticalcharts.noaa.gov .

Then on another note, tourism in Orlando is really booming and has been for almost a century now. Orlando's history is only 150 years old but a lot has happened in that time. It was first a cattle raising industry and it looked more like Laredo and other western towns instead of it's neighboring Southern states. There were Indian wars, cattle rustling, gun fights, gambling, and other unsavory evening activities.

Then in 1880, Southern Florida Railroad extended it's line to Orlando from Sanford into the rest of the nation. This then expanded the Citrus Industry in Central Florida. By the 1920s many changes already happened since business was booming including the land boom. It was at that time the tourist industry in Orlando began and now that town is a very vacation resort with many visitors visiting the seven major theme parks.

With the billions dollar tourist industry booming, there have many job openings and it is also a great place to raise a family. Father's Day....

Just when Mothers Day is over and we took out DH's mother for that day, it is now time to start thinking of Fathers Day gifts. Since I won't be able to take him out, I can order a gift basket for him and he will love it since those gift baskets have nuts, wines, and cheeses. One can also create gift baskets as well.

Now since I am always wondering how holiday traditions get started, I learned that Fathers Day originated with Sonora Dodd when she was listening to a sermon on Mothers Day back in 1909. Her father, William Smart who was also a Civil War veteran was forced to raise his six children alone when his wife died while giving birth to their sixth baby. This all took place in a rural farm in Washinton State.
